NOTE: Use the undiluted version of coconut oil because many coconut oil manufactures tend to dilute their products using harmful chemicals and substances that might be harmful to the skin.
HOW TO WHITEN YOUR SKIN WITH COCONUT OIL
Virgin and organic coconut oils are highly recommended to whiten your skin. To make coconut oil more effective you can add other natural ingredients such as grapeseed oil, lemon juice, baking soda, turmeric e.t.c
Here’s how to whiten your skin with coconut oil:
(1) COCONUT OIL ON ITS OWN IS MAGICAL
You simply take enough of organic cold-pressed coconut oil onto your hands and apply on your skin at night time before going to bed. Massage it gently into the skin for about 10 minutes in order for the skin to absorb the oil. Leave it on for overnight and rinse off the following morning with lukewarm water. Repeat the procedure daily until you get even and light skin tone.
(2) MIX COCONUT OIL WITH LEMON JUICE
Lemon juice has a bleaching ability, it contains vitamin C and acid which are very effective for whitening the skin.
It’s application can also retrain bacterial infection and treat various chronic skin ailments.
The mixture of coconut oil and lemon juice is very effective for whitening the skin.
DIRECTIONS: Firstly, you add few drops of sliced lemon juice to 2 tablespoons of virgin Coconut oil, mic it together well and apply onto your skin using a cotton ball. Leave the mixture on your skin for 15 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water.
(3) MIX COCONUT OIL WITH GRAPESEED OIL
This is the best solution for dark spots and dark circles around your eyes. Grapeseed oil has lots of vitamin E which helps heal and moisture your skin so the mixture is definitely perfect.
DIRECTIONS: You mix equal amount of grapeseed oil and coconut oil with water, apply the mixture directly to the affected areas. The dosage should be 2 drop of coconut oil, 1 drop of grapeseed oil and 10 drops of water.
(4) TURMERIC AND COCONUT OIL TO WHITEN THR SKIN
Turmeric powder can effectively reduce melanin production because it contains curcumin. It’d antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties are also renowned to treat skin ailments like Psoriasis, acne and eczema. However, excess use of turmeric may leave yellow stains on your skin, so just use enough of it.
DIRECTIONS: You simply mix 1 teaspoon of raw honey, 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder with 2 tablespoons of flour powder. Apply the mask on your face and leave it to dry naturally and then rinse off after 25-30 minutes. For fast effective results, use once daily for three weeks.
(5) MIX COCONUT OIL WITH BAKING SODA
Baking soda exfoliates the skin to remove the cellular damage and also prevents the build up from clogged pores, while coconut oil prevents irritation caused by exfoliation. So the combination of these two is very effective in whitening the uneven and dark skin tone.
DIRECTIONS: Combine enough baking soda and coconut oil in a bowl to make a fine paste. Apply the paste on your skin and let it sit for 4-5 minutes and rinse it off.
